The Urban Wellness Hub offers individuals and businesses a lovely place and space to work from. It is peaceful, has a wonderful welcoming feel to it from the minute you enter the building. We can accommodate classes, workshops and courses, network events, larger gatherings and celebration events.

THE STUDIO

Our spacious and well-lit Studio from natural light flooding in through the windows and ceiling dormers, creates a wonderful and relaxing environment to hold classes or workshops or other types of events. We have invested in new Far-Infrared (IR) heaters to provide maximum comfort for users of the Studio along with LED multi-colour strip lights and floor lighting, to create the right ambience for your event The Studio can be arranged in a number of different configurations to suit most user requirements. For example, 40-45 people standing with 4 or 5 tables for buffet/drinks at network events. Space for up to 24 yoga mats for yoga workshops or classes. 20 seated plus 9 therapy beds for courses and hands-on workshops. The Studio has a large 120" remote, powered screen, perfect for theatre-style events presentations or videos.

TREATMENT ROOMS

Room 1 is the home of Scotland's only Floatation Therapy room. More information can be found on the Urban Wellness Float website HERE.

Room 2 is our largest treatment room, with a different decorative style. It has been further sound-proofed to ensure a quiet environment, even when the Studio is in use. There is a BOSE sound system, ceiling laser and floor lamp lighting sets the ambience and mood suited to the treatment.
The room comes with a therapy couch, 2 chairs, wash hand basin, shelf unit for towels and a lockable drawer unit.

Room 3 treatment room is a favourite with many of our therapists. It is so peaceful, warm and welcoming with its own unique décor. Whilst the smallest of our rooms, it is cosy and great for all types of treatments and therapies.
The room comes with a therapy couch, 1 chairs and a lockable drawer unit.

WAITING AREA

We have created a small colourful waiting area which includes a separate toilet and is ideal for when clients arrive early. A window looks into the Studio and works well for people waiting to attend a class. A selection of health, wellbeing, essential oil books and magazines are available for people to read.

FITTED KITCHEN

We have a large fitted kitchen which can be used by Studio hirers. Hirers can prepare their own snacks or lunches. We have water urns for larger events, a large range hob with 2 ovens, microwaves, a larder fridge and larder freezer, sink and worktops and separate wash hand basin. All waste is composted or segregated into recycling bins.

EXTERNAL GROUNDS

The Urban Wellness Hub sits in its own area of land, laid to grass and trees, with stunning views and makes it ideal for outdoor Team Building activities. There is a large soft-landing area suited to many warm-up/cool-down or other activity classes, obviously weather dependent.

The grounds are perfect for Photo Shoots, any time of the year.
Also great for parties or when kids are attending an event. The entire property is enclosed within high, secure fencing, with child-proof entry gates. This means parents who have any children attending an event, can get peace of mind regarding the added safety and security offered by the Urban Wellness Hub as a venue.

Hopefully we will see our new bee & butterfly flower garden come to life next year after mass-seed-sowing and bulb planting during this year - thanks to all the people that donated seeds and bulbs.

OUR ENVIRONMENT

The Ross family care passionately about the world we live in, and bring to the Hub many of their values and beliefs surrounding the environmental impact each of us have.

Everything we can influence and control in the Hub we do it - if it helps reduce our footprint. The anti-bacteriological hand wash soaps and foams, our kitchen and toilet cleaners and our waste management.

Every tiny and seemingly small incidental thing we can change to something better we will do. We collect all the tea bags and fruit scraps from workshops and classes and use them in our giant composter in the garden. We segregate all waste for re-cycling Vs landfill. We've installed energy efficient (FAR-IR) heating throughout the Hub, all managed by an App to help us conserve energy. We reuse where possible grey water for watering plants.

We've planted more fruit trees at the back of the Hub. We have a bee and butterfly garden and we don't ever use pesticides. Our cookery classes use wooden utensils and we make use of recycled products as much as possible. We don't sell plastic bottles at the Hub, only glass ones.

Always use as natural as we can can find.
